Carbon Footprint Compensation of the Eastern Economic Forum
JSC Rusal, through the Thread of Nature platform, transferred carbon units from the climate project 04-2023-00000012 (no data on the amount) to the Roscongress Foundation to compensate for the carbon footprint of the The Eastern Economic Forum-2024 (WEF), which took place from September 3-6 in Vladivostok.
LLC Rushydro sold 10,000 carbon units to PJSC MMC Norilsk Nickel
As part of the Russian Energy Week, RusHydro and Norilsk Nickel signed a purchase and sale agreement for 10 thousand carbon units from the 05-2023-00000001 climate project, the price is unknown.
RUSAL offset carbon units to reduce the carbon footprint of the forum “BRICS Climate Agenda in Modern Conditions”
JSC “RUSAL Krasnoyarsk Aluminium Plant” offset 14 carbon units received from the forestry-climate project “Aerial Fire Protection of the Nizhne-Yenisei Forest Area.” This was done to reduce the carbon footprint of the Roscongress Foundation as part of the forum “BRICS Climate Agenda in Modern Conditions.” This marks the first operation in the Russian carbon registry to offset carbon units on behalf of another entity.
