A new version of the procedure for the interaction of the carbon unit registry operator with trade organizers has been published.
LLC “Center for Energy Certification” and JSC “Contour” have signed a memorandum on information exchange.
LLC “Center for Energy Certification” (the operator of the Russian Register of Generation Attributes) and JSC “Contour” (the operator of the Russian Register of Carbon Units) have entered into a memorandum of understanding regarding information exchange. This collaboration is related to the simultaneous operation of the carbon units market and the system for certifying the origin of electricity. The parties have expressed their intention to exchange information on generation facilities utilizing renewable energy sources, which are represented in both the markets for generation attributes (electricity origin certificates) and carbon units.
JSC RUSAL sold carbon units to Equity International
JSC RUSAL sold carbon units issued as a result of the implementation of the climate project 04-2023-00000012 to Carbon Zero LLC. Information on the number of carbon units and their cost is not disclosed by the parties.

PJSC Sibur will offset 31,012 carbon units from the ZapSibNeftekhim LLC climate project according to ISO 14064-2:2019 standard in order to reduce the carbon footprint of another person — the Ugra Entrepreneurship Support Fund “My Business”.
