Novatek-Yurkharovneftegas LLC has sold 32,000 carbon units from Climate Project No. 71-2024-00000039 to a participant of the Sakhalin Experiment. The sale was conducted to meet compliance obligations under the region’s greenhouse gas emissions cap-and-trade scheme. The price of the units and the identity of the buyer were not disclosed.
